HOW TO APPLY FOR RAILWAYS RRB NTPC 10+2 ONLINE (NON-TECHNICAL) 2024

 

Railways RRB NTPC 10+2 Online (Non-Technical) 2024 Selection Process

 

1. Computer Based Test (CBT – 1):

– The first stage exam is for all candidates.

– The exam is based on Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ).

– It consists of three sections:

– Mathematics

– General Intelligence and Reasoning

– General Awareness

– The duration of the exam is 90 minutes and consists of 100 questions.

– Negative Marking: 1/3 marks are deducted for each wrong answer.

2. Computer Based Test (CBT – 2):

– The second stage exam is only for those candidates who clear the first stage.

– The exam also consists of multiple choice questions, but the number of questions and the level of difficulty are higher.

– The total number of questions is 120 and the duration of the exam is 90 minutes.

– Negative marking is 1/3 as in the first stage.

3. Typing Skill Test (TST):

– For those posts for which typing is required (such as clerk and typist posts), **Typing Skill Test** is taken.

– The candidate must have a typing speed of 30 words per minute (WPM) in English or 25 words per minute in Hindi.

– This test is only **qualifying**, i.e. no marks are given in it, only pass or fail is determined.

4. Document Verification:

– Successful candidates are called for document verification.

– The candidate has to submit his educational certificate, caste certificate (if applicable), age certificate, and other required documents.

5.Medical Examination:

– After document verification, candidates undergo medical examination.

– The medical fitness of the candidate is as per the requirements of the post selected.

6.Final Merit List:

– The final selection is done on the basis of CBT – 2 marks and document verification.

– Candidates securing place in the merit list are allotted posts based on their merit and preference.

Note: Typing skill test is required only for those posts which have typing requirement. For other posts, selection is based only on CBT – 1, CBT – 2, Document Verification and Medical Examination.
